This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to carry out risk management processes, including planning, identifying hazards and assessing risk, and developing and implementing risk controls.
This unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory roles overseeing and auditing the risk assessment process.
As a refresher course, this training updates and reinforces existing knowledge and skills in risk management methodologies, ensuring participants remain current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this refresher course, we require:
- A clear copy of your photo identification or Drivers Licence;
- A previous Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO that is less than 5 years old or lists RIIRIS402D Carry out the risk management process.
- Please note wallet cards will not be accepted.
- You can obtain a VET Transcript from your USI student portal if you do not have access to your current Statement of Attainment. (Forgot your USI? / Unique Student Identifier)
To proceed with this course, students will be required to:
- Pass a language, literacy, and numeracy assessment (LLN)
If the student is required to complete the full course as they do not meet the refresher requirements, an additional assessment fee will apply for the practical training and assessment component which can be delivered at our training facility.
